The Council allowed Ukrainians over 60 years old to serve in the army
The Verkhovna Rada approved draft law 13229 in full, which allows voluntary enlistment into the army for men and women over 60 years old. There is no age limit.
Written consent must be provided by the commander of the military unit following the decision of the Medical Commission and the General Staff if the volunteer is an officer.
A full contract for a period of one year will be signed after the successful completion of a two-month trial period.
