The invaders attacked Kyiv: there is one dead, fires broke out, a metro station was damaged

On the night of July 21, the aggressor state Russia carried out a massive attack on Kyiv using attack drones and cruise missiles. The aggressor’s actions caused fires in several locations, with one person killed and others injured.

Overall, consequences were recorded in six districts of the city, with air defense continuing to operate in the morning. OBOZ.UA reports everything known about the enemy attack on the capital, according to local authorities and the State Emergency Service.

Darnytskyi District

Fires broke out in a garage cooperative and in a preschool educational institution. In addition, a fire was recorded in a supermarket.

"There is information about one person killed," said the city mayor Vitali Klitschko.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko added that a man with multiple injuries was also hospitalized in the area.

Later, another fire broke out in a non-residential building as a result of the attack.

Dniprovskyi District

Kiosks and a fire in a kindergarten ignited. The fire was localized over an area of 500 square meters. Medical services were called.

Shevchenkivskyi District

As a result of a drone debris impact, a balcony on the first floor of a ten-story residential building caught fire.

"The fire on an area of 150 square meters has been localized. One person was rescued, another injured," the SES of Kyiv reported at half-past six on Monday morning.

According to the mayor, a fire occurred on the second and third floors of a residential building and smoke was observed in an open area. The entrance to Lukyanivska metro station was also damaged: no fire, underground premises were not damaged. The station is temporarily closed for entry and exit but continues to serve as a shelter.

Obolonskyi District

A fire was recorded in a cottage complex. It is uninhabited, and there are no casualties.

Solomianskyi District

Medical services were called to the site where drone debris fell – no casualties. A fire broke out in warehouse premises.

Sviatoshynskyi District

Due to the fall of drone debris, garages caught fire. Medical services were called.

In the morning, trains on the "red" metro line ran from "Akademmistechko" station to "Arsenalna" station. Transfer nodes "Teatralna" – "Zoloti Vorota" and "Khreschatyk" – "Maidan Nezalezhnosti" operated in regular mode.
