On August 4, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the positions of Ukrainian military forces in the Volchansk direction, which remains one of the hottest spots on the front line.

The head of state reported this on his Telegram channel.

“We talked with the commanders about the situation on the front line, the defense of Volchansk, and the dynamics of the fighting. We specifically raised the issue of drone supplies and their usage, recruitment, and direct financing of brigades,” the president noted.

Zelenskyy also spoke about new challenges in this direction. According to the military, mercenaries from China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and African countries are fighting on Russia’s side.

“We will respond,” emphasized the president.

Zelenskyy’s trip to the front took place amid active combat in the Kharkiv region, where Ukrainian forces continue to hold back Russian troops’ advance.
