Trump on Witkoff’s meeting with Putin: "Significant progress has been achieved"

The meeting between the U.S. President’s Special Representative Steve Witkoff and Russian leader Vladimir Putin was "very successful."

This was reported by U.S. President Donald Trump on the social network Truth Social.

"My special envoy Steve Witkoff just had a very productive meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Significant progress has been made!" Trump assured.

He clarified that after the meeting, he informed some European allies of the U.S. about its outcomes.

"Everyone agrees that this war must end, and we will work on it in the coming days and weeks," the President added.
