The defendant in the "lawyers-hackers" case initiated an investigation into the alleged disclosure of the NABU investigation secret

In the case of the "lawyer-hackers," one of the suspects achieved the opening of a criminal proceeding regarding the possible disclosure of the secrecy of the pre-trial investigation. In June 2025, NABU detectives registered the corresponding case in execution of the ruling of the investigative judge of the Solomianskyi District Court of Kyiv.

The applicant was a lawyer who was declared a suspect on April 1, 2025, for illegal access to closed court decisions. He believes that the information from the case might have been obtained by a journalist from "Mirror Weekly" from the detectives who are part of the investigative team. In her publication, she refers to "sources in law enforcement agencies."

The lawyer claims that the article is presented in a derogatory tone, contains biased assumptions, and creates an impression of his guilt for the reader. He also demands to be recognized as a victim in the new proceedings.

The court ordered NABU to reconsider the suspect’s application, following the ruling published in the court register.
