Odesa BES thwarted an attempt by "Altex Group" to export soybean seeds without documents

In the maritime port "Pivdennyi," searches were conducted today by employees of the Odesa branch of the Bureau of Economic Security. Their target was a batch of agricultural products belonging to LLC "Altex Group," which law enforcement officials refer to as a "black exporter."

According to the investigation, the company attempted to illegally export raw materials—soybeans—packaged and already loaded onto a vessel ready to depart. At the same time, the exporter had no documents confirming the origin of the products. Officially, the cargo was intended "for processing," but according to the Bureau of Economic Security, this was a gray export scheme involving kickbacks and subsequent "processing" only in offshore companies.

Law enforcement officers seized the products and suspended the departure of the vessel. The Bureau of Economic Security notes that similar schemes are used by other market participants, so new searches and detentions are expected in the near future.
