Trump: "The truce depends on Zelenskyy’s agreement"

During the meeting with the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Alaska, progress was made regarding the settlement of Russia’s war against Ukraine. However, everything now depends on the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

This was reported by the US President Donald Trump in an interview with a Fox News journalist.

Trump noted that his meeting with Putin was "good," and many issues were discussed, but the agreement on a ceasefire in Ukraine was not concluded.

"In my opinion, there is no deal until it is fully finalized. However, we really made significant progress. The meeting took place... I want to see if we can close this deal. You know, the deal is not ready at all. And Ukraine has to agree. That means President Zelenskyy has to give his consent," said the US President.

He emphasized that the war initiated by Russia is "horrible" because both sides are suffering heavy losses.

"I hope everything can be resolved. It’s very important," Trump concluded.
