Trump: Allies are ready to provide Ukraine with "very good protection"

US President Donald Trump stated that allies will offer Ukraine security guarantees. He promised "very good protection."

Trump made this statement during a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House.

He noted that the parties have not yet discussed the issue of security guarantees for Ukraine. The US President also reiterated that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin wants to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO.

Trump added that he does not know whether this will be a topic of discussion at the White House today.

"But we will give them very good security guarantees, very good protection. The people who are waiting for us, I think they have the same ideas about this," Trump said.
