The SSU called NABU’s suspicion against the former head of the cyber department, Vityuk, a "revenge"

The SSU believes that the suspicion raised by NABU against their employee, the former head of the cyber department Illya Vityuk, is "revenge" and "selective justice". The service also emphasized that it is a "response to the lawful detention by the SSU of several NABU employees at the end of July".

They noted that the case against Vityuk was initiated a year and a half ago, but during this time the investigation "failed to provide convincing evidence that would confirm illegal enrichment and inaccurate declaration".

The basis for the investigation was the general’s family’s apartment, allegedly purchased at a reduced price. However, the SSU stated that the investigation ignored "the conclusions of numerous expert examinations that refuted the version of purchasing the housing at a reduced price", as well as "the conclusion of the NACP, which found no signs of illegal enrichment in Vityuk’s family".

Furthermore, the service claims that the general’s wife had "official and declared income from entrepreneurial activities, for which the housing was purchased", and the testimony "despite pressure from the investigation, refutes the prosecution’s version".
