"Difficult situation": AFU records demoralization of Russian troops in Kherson region

On the left bank of the Kherson region, the rotation of Russian troops continues, during which the enemy suffers significant losses. Over the past two days, Ukrainian forces have struck 57 units of enemy weapons and military equipment.

This was reported by the spokesperson of the 30th Marine Corps, Colonel Oleksandr Zavtonov.

According to him, during the rotation, the Russians are launching strikes on the rear areas of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, hoping to reduce the firepower impact of Ukraine’s defenders.

Russian occupiers are conducting rotation on the left bank of the Dnipro

According to Zavtonov, instead of units from the 70th Motorized Rifle Division, paratroopers from the 98th Division, which has already suffered heavy losses in Donbas, are moving into position.

"As of now, a rotation of Russian troops is taking place on the left bank of the Dnipro: units of the 70th Motorized Rifle Division are being replaced by paratroopers from the 98th Division. It is worth recalling that this military unit has already suffered significant losses during battles in Donbas. This process is accompanied by substantial losses for the Russian occupiers. That is why they are attempting to carry out attacks on our rear areas, hoping that this will reduce our firepower impact on their units, headquarters, command posts, logistical routes, and so on," Zavtonov explained.

The military official added that radio interceptions reveal a depressed mood among the occupiers, illustrating the extremely difficult situation of the Russian army in this direction.

Massive strikes on enemy equipment and weaponry

Ukrainian forces are actively targeting enemy headquarters, command posts, and logistical routes. Over the past two days, 57 units of enemy weapons and military equipment have been hit.

Zavtonov also noted that the units of Russian airborne troops currently arriving in the Kherson region should "take into account the experience of their predecessors," as Ukraine’s marine corps guarantees that "conditions for the enemy will remain extremely difficult, and the strikes will be even more intense."

Russians resort to terror against civilians instead of battlefield success

Since the occupiers are not achieving results on the battlefield, they are trying to compensate for their failures by attacking civilian infrastructure, terrorizing the residents of Ukraine. In particular, at the beginning of August, the enemy carried out several airstrikes on transport infrastructure in Kherson, including a bridge connecting the Korabel microdistrict with the city.

"At the moment, it can be said that this has not affected the overall situation in the defense zone of the 30th Marine Corps, but it has significantly complicated the lives of local residents. Such actions by the occupiers are deliberate terror against civilians. In other words, whenever the enemy fails on the battlefield, they intensify attacks on civilians," Zavtonov stated.
