SSU: Detained NABU employee Viktor Husarov was part of an FSB agent network
NABU employee detained in July turned out to be part of a large FSB espionage network, - SSU.
According to the Security Service of Ukraine, he was recruited back in 2012. He worked in the closed unit "D-2" and transmitted data from confidential law enforcement databases to the Russians over 60 times.
Judging by the context and published correspondence, it appears to be about Viktor Husarov, an employee of the elite NABU unit «D-2».
It is reported that the network was overseen by FSB officer Igor Yegorov, who began forming it in 2009. Its members included SSU General Valeriy Shaytanov (sentenced to 12 years), former bodyguard of Yanukovych Dmytro Ivantsov, and a National Guard serviceman.
The SSU seized a phone and equipment from the "mole," and he faces up to 15 years in prison. The agency emphasized that the case concerns a specific individual and does not affect the overall work of NABU.
