The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to oblige marketplaces to collect and transmit user data

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has proposed draft law No. 14025, which stipulates that marketplaces such as OLX and «Rozetka» must collect and transfer user data to the state, including residential address and tax identification number.

The draft law was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada by Prime Minister Svyrydenko.

According to the document, individuals will pay a 5% tax, and digital platforms will act as additional agents. They are required to include in the income report of such sellers the following information: full name, residential address, tax identification number, individual VAT payer tax number (if available), and date of birth.

This rule also applies to citizens who rent out real estate online. They must report which specific property and for what amount they are renting out to ensure transparency in the taxation of rental income.
