Sweden will allocate an additional $7.5 billion for military aid to Ukraine

Sweden plans to allocate 70 billion kronor (7.5 billion dollars) in military aid to Ukraine over the next two years.

This was stated by Swedish Defence Minister Paul Jonsson, reports  Reuters.

According to him, a significant portion of the funds will be distributed through the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, including the purchase of additional Archer artillery systems, which are already being used by Ukrainian forces in the war with Russia.

Jonsson also noted that after Russian drones invaded Polish territory, Sweden expressed solidarity and readiness to provide military resources to the country if necessary.

"We immediately contacted the Polish Defence Minister and stated that we are ready to provide resources if Poland shows interest in this," the Swedish minister said, adding that any such support would be coordinated within NATO.
