The occupiers failed the summer offensive on Zaporizhzhya due to a lack of resources, — expert
The Russian occupying army suffered a defeat in its offensive on Zaporizhzhya as part of the summer campaign. Now the enemy will attempt to improve its tactical position, particularly with terrorist intentions.
This is reported in a material by the “Radio Liberty” project - “News of Pryazovia”.
According to Dmytro Zhmaylo, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Security and Cooperation Center, the enemy lacked human resources.
In August, Russian occupiers advanced “with cockroach steps exclusively through plantations, which was measured not even in kilometers, but in tens and hundreds of meters, approximately 45 squares”.
He also suggested that now the occupiers are likely to abandon the breakthrough in Zaporizhzhya in favor of attempts to improve their tactical position.
“In particular, the direction of the strike will be Orikhiv, because this settlement is used by Ukrainian troops as a logistics hub for our defence, actually to the southeast of Zaporizhzhya,” the expert explained.
According to him, the occupiers will try to take all the logistics routes there under more dense fire control.
Another reason for the failure of the RF’s summer offensive in the Zaporizhzhya direction, besides the lack of human resources, Zhmaylo named fortifications. According to him, the Zaporizhzhya front is one of the most fortified. The occupiers understand that it is possible to breach the defence lines there, “but with the use of vast human resources, which the Russians currently lack”.
Now, the Russians will try to improve their tactical position in the Zaporizhzhya direction to prevent Ukrainian defenders from redeploying their reserves to other, hotter directions. And with a terrorist aim — to get closer to the regional center and shell the city with GABs.
“Considering they now have a plan to increase the penetration depth of drones, currently we can talk about approximately 20-25 kilometers, they are improving this methodology,” noted Dmytro Zhmaylo.
