The head of the British Foreign Office arrived in Ukraine on her first foreign visit in the position

The UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper has arrived in Kyiv.

The British government previously stated that she would announce aid to Ukraine in the amount of approximately $193 million to support the country through the winter and the following year.

She will meet with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, and Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko.

«I decided to visit Ukraine in the first few days of my tenure as Foreign Secretary because Ukraine’s security is crucial to the security of the UK. I am clear that the UK’s support is unwavering and stronger than ever,» Cooper stated.
