Ukraine introduces taxes for users of digital platforms and landlords

The draft law on taxation of marketplaces will also oblige freelancers, taxi drivers, tutors, and landlords to pay taxes.

This has been highlighted by Ukrainian media.

According to the document, if a person complies with the requirement to open a special account, they will pay 5% of the income received through a digital platform, as well as a military levy of 5% - a total of 10%.

However, if a person does not comply with the requirement to open a special account, they will be charged the standard rate, which is 18% plus 5% - a total of 23%.
