A large-scale fire broke out in the Zaporizhzhya district on the territory of an equestrian club

Today, a fire broke out on the territory of a horse club in one of the settlements of the Zaporizhzhya district. At the scene, it was determined that a single-story storage building with an area of 1000 sq. m was on fire, with the flames spreading over 500 sq. m.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service.

Rescuers managed to localize and extinguish the fire, preventing further spread of the flames and their transfer to nearby structures.

"The firefighting efforts were complicated by the burning of a large amount of stored hay, which contributed to the rapid spread of the fire. Thanks to the prompt and coordinated actions of the firefighters, the blaze was localized in time and prevented from spreading to nearby structures," the statement reads.

Due to heavy smoke, rescuers worked in compressed air breathing apparatuses and extinguished the flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. An inquiry is ongoing.
