Russians deliberately attacked Shostka and hindered rescue operations — Sumy RMA

Russian forces launched a targeted strike on a civilian facility, with dozens of people at the station as trains were being boarded.

This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov.

According to him, as a result of the attacks, a passenger train on the "Shostka - Kyiv" route and a commuter train were damaged.

"After the first explosion, a drone circled over the station, which hindered the elimination of the consequences, and subsequently, the Russians launched a repeated strike," Hryhorov noted.

Eight injured people have been taken to medical facilities, with one person in serious condition in intensive care.

Among the injured are three children aged 8, 11, and 14. The oldest child, a boy, is in moderate condition. It should be noted that, according to Prime Minister Yuliya Syrydenko, about 30 people were injured.

Due to enemy strikes, the city of Shostka and part of the district have been left without power.
