Russia has launched attack drones: Air defense is operating in Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions

The Russian army launched several groups of strike drones of the "Shahed" type on the morning of Tuesday, October 7. This time, the drones were detected in the northern part of Ukraine.

This was reported by the Air Forces and the Air Raid Map.

According to the Air Forces, the first groups of enemy drones in Ukrainian airspace were spotted around 7:00 AM.

"Shaheds" were detected in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Strike drones were also observed in the Kyiv region.

At 07:56, an air raid alert was announced in Kyiv.

"Kyiv - stay in shelters, a strike drone is approaching the city from the north," the Air Forces reported.

According to the Kyiv Military Administration, air defense systems are active in the capital and its suburbs.

A "Shahed" drone is currently flying over Kyiv.

Residents of regions where an air raid alert is in effect are urged to remain calm and, in case of danger, to immediately head to shelters. Additionally, there is a ban in Ukraine on photographing or filming the operations of air defense units.
