The Verkhovna Rada extended the duration of martial law.

A total of 317 members of parliament voted in favor of the relevant draft law (No. 14128) to approve the president’s decree "On the Extension of the Duration of Martial Law in Ukraine" during a plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday.

Martial law has been extended for 90 days, starting from 5:30 a.m. on November 5, 2025.

Martial law was introduced on February 24, 2022, in connection with the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia. As of October 2025, it had been extended 16 times—each time for 90 days.
