Footage of the destruction of a kindergarten in Kharkiv after a Russian drone strike has emerged
As a result of the massive attack by Russian drones on October 22 in the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv, one of the drones hit the building of a private kindergarten.
The kindergarten building was partially destroyed, and a large-scale fire (covering an area of about 500 square meters) broke out, which rescuers later contained. Nearby residential buildings and other civil infrastructure objects were also damaged.
At the time of the attack, there were 48 children in the kindergarten. Thanks to the timely actions of the educators, all of them were evacuated to a shelter and were not physically harmed. It is reported that many children experienced an acute stress reaction.
A 42-year-old man, an employee of a municipal enterprise, died.
The number of injured has increased to nine people (three men and six women).
Footage showing significant destruction of the kindergarten building, broken windows, and debris was released online. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also commented on the strike, emphasizing that "there is and can be no justification" for a drone attack on a kindergarten.
