RF attacked Sumy region nearly 150 times in a day: houses and infrastructure damaged

Throughout the day, from the morning of October 24 to the morning of October 25, 2025, Russian forces carried out nearly 150 attacks on 40 settlements in 16 territorial communities of Sumy region. 

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

The highest number of enemy strikes was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.

The following communities came under fire: Mykolaivska, Myropilska, Yunakivska, Khotinska, Krasnopilska, Hlukhivska, Esman, Shalyhinska, Druzhbyvska, Seredyno-Budska, Sveska, Velykopysarivska, Putyvlska, Novoslobidska, Popivska, and Konotopska.

The occupiers actively used guided aerial bombs, drones, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and dropped VOG munitions from UAVs. Specifically, the following were recorded:

• 15 MLRS strikes;
• 25 VOG drops from UAVs;
• up to 10 guided aerial bomb strikes;
• nearly 20 drone attacks.

Additionally, FPV drone strikes were carried out across the region.

As a result of the shelling, civilian infrastructure objects were damaged in several communities. In Konotopska and Hlukhivska, infrastructure facilities were destroyed; in Velykopysarivska, a private residential building was damaged; in Popivska, a non-residential building and other civilian objects were affected.

According to local authorities, 7 people were evacuated from border communities in cooperation with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and volunteers.

The air raid alert in the region lasted for 21 hours and 38 minutes during the day.
