Law enforcement officers established that the director of the charitable foundation "Diplomatic Corps," Yosyp Darvay, together with Ivan Chup and a number of intermediaries, organized a scheme for duty-free importation of cars under the guise of humanitarian aid, followed by their sale for personal enrichment.

Since 2024, the foundation has declared 46 registrations of humanitarian cargo, most of which are vehicles from the EU. After crossing the border, these cars were not handed over to volunteers or the military but were sold through the "AutoYarmarok" car market in the village of Kinchesh near Uzhhorod. Negotiations were conducted by the market director, Oleksiy Sapronov, who offered buyers cars already registered under the foundation—but as "goods that can be purchased."

During the documentation process, a controlled purchase was conducted: the suspects sold a Fiat Ducato as "humanitarian aid" for 5,000 dollars. According to expert assessment, the market value of a similar customs-cleared car is approximately 120,000 hryvnias.

Additionally, the sale of five more vehicles (Nissan X-Trail, Nissan Terrano, Nissan Navara, Mazda B2500, Opel Movano), imported as aid, was recorded.

During searches at addresses in the city of Vynohradiv in Berehove district, the village of Korytnyany in Uzhhorod district, the village of Mizhlisne in the Vylok community of Berehove district, and at the foundation’s office, documentation for 34 vehicles, seals, draft records, electronic media, and cash in various currencies were seized.

Law enforcement officers have already informed Y. Darvay of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 201-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal actions with humanitarian aid). A motion regarding a preventive measure is being prepared for him. Earlier in the same case, Ivan Chup also received a suspicion notice.
