In the capital of Ukraine, the construction of seven new combined heat and power plants (CHPPs) has begun.
This was announced by the First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA), Shvets.
According to him, the new energy facilities are being built with modern security requirements in mind.
"Where generation is needed, we are building 7 new CHPPs. These CHPPs are immediately equipped with second-level protection," — Shvets stated.
The construction of the new CHPPs aims to enhance the resilience of the city’s energy system and reduce the risks of potential outages, especially under the constant threat of shelling.
