Massive attack on Ladyzhyn: five injured, child in critical condition
As a result of a combined Russian attack on the night of October 30, five people were injured in the town of Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsia region. Among them is a 7-year-old child who is in critical condition.
This was reported by the head of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, Natalya Zabolotna, on Telegram.
"Vinnytsia region came under a massive enemy attack today," the statement reads.
According to the head of the Regional State Administration, civilian and critical infrastructure, residential buildings, and vehicles were damaged as a result of the strikes.
There are also casualties among civilians - four adults sustained injuries of mild to moderate severity, while a seven-year-old child is in critical condition.
Rescue services are working at the sites, and firefighting efforts are ongoing. Explosive ordnance disposal teams are inspecting the areas, and special commissions are documenting the extent of the destruction.
Energy workers are gradually restoring electricity supply in the region.
In the town of Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsia region, one of Ukraine’s largest thermal power plants, Ladyzhynska TPP, is located.
It is part of the DTEK energy holding and supplies electricity to a significant portion of the central and western regions of the country.
The plant operates on coal and holds strategic importance for Ukraine’s energy system. During the war, Ladyzhynska TPP has repeatedly been targeted by Russian shelling.
