Russians launched a massive drone strike on Romny: warehouses and a residential building damaged
On Sunday, November 9, Russians launched a massive drone attack on Romny in the Sumy region. The enemy targeted warehouses and damaged windows of a residential building.
This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov.
He informed that today, both border communities and areas far from the border in the region were under Russian attacks.
"The enemy delivered a massive drone strike on the Romny community. They hit the warehouse facilities of local enterprises. As a result of the attack, windows in a five-story residential building were also damaged," the report states.
Meanwhile, Mayor Oleh Stohniy also confirmed the attack on Romny.
"The enemy carried out another attack on the Romny community. Damage to infrastructure facilities has been recorded as a result of the enemy strike. Information regarding the consequences is being clarified," he wrote on Facebook.
Stohnii also reported that starting from 4:00 PM, a headquarters for mitigating the consequences of the enemy strikes was deployed. Communal enterprises of the community and relevant services have been engaged in the response efforts.
Currently, footage capturing the moment of a drone strike in Romny is circulating online.
In addition, the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration reported that in the Velyka Pysarivka community, a 45-year-old woman was injured due to a drone strike. She has been hospitalized and is currently receiving the necessary medical assistance.
