The Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back Russians in Pokrovsk: occupiers are trying to establish positions in the city’s high-rise buildings

Ukrainian defenders are thwarting attempts by Russian occupiers to establish positions in multi-story buildings in Pokrovsk, which the enemy plans to use as dominant heights. 

The situation in Pokrovsk on November 10 was reported by the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (7th Airborne Assault Corps of the AFU).

"The enemy continues to increase the number of assaults on Ukrainian positions in the Pokrovsk agglomeration. Over the past week, Russians attempted to attack our units 132 times. This is almost 20% more than the week before," the statement reads.

It is reported that Ukrainian military personnel are preventing Russian attempts to entrench themselves in multi-story buildings in Pokrovsk, which the enemy seeks to use as strategic heights. This resistance enables other Defence Forces units to carry out tasks aimed at neutralizing the enemy in the city.

"The destruction of Russian occupiers continues in the northern part of Pokrovsk. The fiercest battles are currently taking place in the industrial zone. The enemy’s infiltration routes into this area are under the control of our military. As a result, the enemy has limited opportunities to replenish its losses.

At the same time, the enemy is trying to concentrate efforts in other parts of the city and on the western outskirts to further advance towards Hryshyne, located northwest of Pokrovsk. Ukrainian military personnel are holding back the enemy’s offensive, particularly through a multi-layered defense system. Logistics in Hryshyne ensure the fulfillment of assigned tasks.

A defensive operation continues in Myrnohrad. Logistical support is functioning, and supplies of food and ammunition are being replenished in a timely manner.

The enemy is attempting to attack Myrnohrad from the southeastern direction. The Defence Forces are successfully eliminating the enemy on the approaches to the city, preventing it from penetrating inside," the 7th Airborne Assault Corps of the AFU reported.
