On Wednesday, May 26, the Zavodskyi District Court of Mykolaiv granted the lawsuit filed by the public organization "Stop Sludge" for the recovery of 9.2 billion hryvnias in moral compensation from the Mykolaiv Alumina Plant for people living nearby.

This was reported by the representatives of the organization on their Facebook page.

The moral compensation is designated for 1,279 individuals. The lawsuit was filed by the public organization "Stop Sludge," demanding material compensation of 9 billion hryvnias for 1,279 people who, according to them, suffered from the damage caused by the industrial enterprise.

According to media reports, the attack on the Mykolaiv Alumina Plant was carried out by professional eco-raiders under the guise of the public organization "Stop Sludge," who previously used a similar scheme to blackmail a major poultry producer under the TM "Havrylivski Kurchata," and also demanded and received significant compensation from the fuel trader "BRSM-Nafta."
