A former Kirovohrad traffic police officer-bribe taker was "sheltered" in Odesa

The scandalously notorious former head of the Kirovohrad Traffic Police, Oleksiy Bereznevych, accused of persecuting Euromaidan activists and corruption, has secured a ’lucrative’ position in Odesa.

Currently, the corrupt official Bereznevych holds the position of head of the State Security Service in the Odesa region.

It should be noted that in the spring of last year, Bereznevych was dismissed from his position as head of the Kirovohrad region’s Traffic Police. However, just a few months later, the corrupt official was appointed as the deputy head of the Traffic Police Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Donetsk region.

After another media scandal in December 2014, he was suspended from his position and a service investigation was launched.

Its outcome is still unknown, but as of today, Bereznevych is already listed as the head of the State Security Service in the Odesa region, which is responsible for guarding major state facilities, such as ports, power plants, etc.
