The SBI has initiated a pre-trial investigation into the death and injury of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers in the Dnipropetrovsk region due to enemy shelling.

This was announced by the State Bureau of Investigation.

Preliminarily, on the evening of Saturday, November 1, Russians struck a location where Ukrainian defenders were stationed with a missile. As a result of the attack, there are casualties and injured soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The SBI investigative team promptly arrived at the scene to conduct investigative actions and establish the circumstances of the tragedy.

During the investigation, it is being determined whether safety requirements for military personnel were adhered to during the air raid alert and how their shelter was organized.

The SBI reported that the investigation is being conducted under Part 4 of Article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (negligent attitude towards military service committed under martial law conditions).

As a reminder, on November 1, Russian invaders launched a massive strike on communities in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Nikopol, Pishchanska, Pokrovska, Marhanets, and Chervonohryhorivka communities were under attack.

Later, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that as a result of the combined strike by the aggressor country, there are casualties and injuries among Ukrainian soldiers as well.
