Pseudo-expert Viktor Kurtyev does not pay for electricity - court ruling
The entrepreneur Viktor Kurtyev, who calls himself an energy expert, turned out to be a non-payer of utility services - the "Scientific and Technical Company "Metropolia", owned by Kurtyev, does not pay millions of hryvnias to the budget and is constantly involved in legal proceedings due to unpaid debts.
In 2020, the company "DTEK Kyiv Electrical Networks" was forced to go to court to issue an order for the collection of the debt from Viktor Kurtyev. As the materials of the Holosiivskyi District Court of Kyiv show, the "expert" owed UAH 7,126 for electricity. Calculating the number of kWh, at a cost of UAH 1.68 per kWh, Kurtyev "used" over 4,200 kWh for free.

In February 2020, the court issued an order obliging Kurtyev to pay not only the full debt amount of UAH 7,126 but also UAH 964 in "inflationary payments" and UAH 210 in court fees.
Let us remind you that the firm STC "Metropolia", founded and owned by Viktor Kurtyev, owes the state budget over 3 million UAH. Currently, tax officials are trying to collect these funds as part of enforcement proceedings.
