Financial Times: Ukrainian intelligence learned of Putin’s plans to attack the Baltic countries
Russian dictator Volodymyr Putin is preparing for a war against the Baltic states, the Financial Times reports, citing a senior Ukrainian official who said that Kyiv has convincing intelligence about Moscow’s intentions, NV reports.
“Putin simply cannot stop,” the publication quotes the unnamed official as saying.
Estonia’s foreign intelligence service said Russia intends to double the number of its troops stationed along its borders with the Baltic states and Finland, a move that could foreshadow a potential military conflict with NATO over the next decade.
“Putin does everything he says. And the only thing that can stop him is power politics... This is the only thing he understands,” said Christoph Heusgen, head of the Munich Security Conference.
