Biden made a statement in connection with the death of Oleksiy Navalnyi in Russia

“The Russian authorities will tell their story. But remember: Putin is responsible for Navalnyi’s death,” Biden said.

Biden also added that now is the time for American politicians to make an important decision and continue to help Ukraine, which continues to confront Russia.

When asked whether Navalnyi’s death was a murder, Biden did not directly answer, saying that there is no exact information yet. When asked what the consequences would be for Russia, the US President said that different options would be considered.

In the summer of 2021, Joe Biden met with Volodymyr Putin. After which he told reporters: “I made it clear to him (Putin) that, in my opinion, the consequences of Navalnyi’s death in prison could be devastating for Russia.”
