Russian troops will soon begin an "frontal" assault on the city of Kurakhove in the Donetsk region, using a large amount of equipment. This is currently their priority.

This confidence was expressed by military-political observer Oleksandr Kovalenko.

"Now they will try to advance along the Pavlivka - Bohoyavlenka route, specifically towards Bohoyavlenka, where the defensive lines and positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces begin. This advance is part of their plans to eventually encircle Kurakhove from the south,” the expert noted.

According to him, the Russians intend to put pressure on the city from two directions simultaneously - from the east and south.

The observer emphasized that in the Kurakhove direction, the occupiers are particularly actively using the equipment that they try to conserve in other places: "In terms of the intensity of equipment usage, Vuhledar was previously such a place. Now the focus has shifted slightly north of it."
