“There are no more secrets in this”: Zelenskyy called Putin a murderous president

According to the Ukrainian leader, everyone who will vote in the Russian presidential elections this year must understand that they are voting for a murderer. Those who maintain economic ties with him should also know this.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called Kremlin leader Volodymyr Putin a murderer. "Anyone who congratulates Putin on his victory in the Russian elections legitimises a murderous president." Zelenskyy said this during a press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on 16 February.

In his speech, the Ukrainian president alluded to the death of opposition leader Oleksiy Navalnyi in prison.

"Today’s events show that Putin is a murderer. This is not some kind of signal. It is absolutely clear that he is a murderer. And there are no more secrets in this," Zelenskyy said.

The Ukrainian politician also noted that the murderer is running for election this year. This should be known to everyone who will vote for him and maintain business ties.

"People who have economic relations with him - they earn bloody money because they have contracts with the killer. Leaders who will congratulate Putin on his ’election’ as president should know that they have legitimised a murderer," Zelenskyy said.
