Lubinets: The number of children abducted by Russia reaches almost 20 thousand

Currently, the Office of the Ombudsman of Ukraine is aware of 19,546 recorded cases of forced transfer to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine or deportation of Ukrainian children by Russia.

The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets wrote about this.

This data is not final, therefore, together with Qatari partners, we are looking for mechanisms for verifying Ukrainian children on the territory of Russia and TOT. This is why I recently visited Qatar,” he noted.

The Ombudsman recalled that on February 20, with the mediation of Qatar and the assistance of UNICEF, Ukraine returned 11 children.
