ISW: Russian Armed Forces continue advancing west of Avdiivka

According to analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War, the Russian Federation continues to advance to the west and northwest of the city.

Experts write that Russian soldiers have a relatively fast pace of attack. They are trying to advance before the Ukrainian Armed Forces manage to gain a foothold in this area.

ISW does not rule out that in the coming weeks the invaders may capture settlements to the west and northwest of Avdiivka. They may be hindered by difficult terrain, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to stop this offensive.
