Men aged 18-25 will have to undergo military training, - People’s Deputy Venislavskyi

The updated mobilization bill provides for the abolition of compulsory military service. Instead, men will be required to undergo basic military training or basic military service.

Stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Fedir Venislavskyi.

“It is most likely that the first and second will last 5 months in peacetime and 3 months in wartime. There was my proposal to prescribe basic military training for a period of 150 to 160 days.”

A university student can choose to undergo basic military training during 4-5 years of study, this can take place at a military department. The same applies to citizens who do not study at universities or do not receive consistent education; training centers will be provided for them.
