Dubinskyi was found guilty of a corruption offense

The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv found Oleksandr Dubinskyi, the current Member of Parliament of Ukraine, guilty of committing an administrative offence related to corruption.

This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation and the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption .

The text of the statement does not indicate the name and surname of the people’s deputy, but on November 8 last year, the SBI reported that it had handed the people’s deputy Dubinskyi a protocol on an administrative offense related to corruption.

What did Dubinskyi do?

Based on the investigation materials, it was established that in August and October 2023, the people’s representative addressed the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the State Bureau of Investigation with parliamentary appeals, which raised issues of his private interest.

In particular, in his appeals he was interested in considering the issue of issuing him permission to travel abroad, which is the subject of a criminal case in which the deputy is a defendant.

He also tried to put pressure on the investigation, demanding to initiate inspections of the leadership of law enforcement agencies investigating criminal proceedings in which the deputy acts as a suspect.

How he was punished?

After the decision enters into legal force, information about the people’s deputy will be entered into the Unified State Register of Persons who have committed corruption or corruption-related offenses.

The court also ordered him to pay a fine, but Dubinskyi has 10 days to appeal the court decision.
