Syrskyi and Umyerov visited forward positions on the Eastern Front

The head of the AFU, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said on his Facebook page that he and Defence Minister Rustem Umyerov visited the frontline positions on the Eastern Front, where the situation is worsening due to the threat of a Russian offensive.

Syrskyi said that today he arrived in the area of operation in the direction of active operations of the Russian Army. There, the commander-in-chief worked in two brigades, where the situation was gradually becoming more complicated and there was a threat of Russian units advancing deeper into the combat formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Overall, the operational situation on the Eastern front remains difficult. The enemy continues to conduct offensive actions, focusing its main efforts in the areas of Terny, Ivanivske, Berdychi, Tonenke, Verbove and Robotyne," said Syryskyi.
