Chancellor Sholz announced the creation of a coalition of long-range weapons for Ukraine
France, Germany and Poland have agreed to create a new coalition of Ukraine’s long-range weapons allies.
The German Chancellor announced this on Friday, March 15, at a press conference in Berlin.
According to Olaf Sholz, Germany, France and Poland are now purchasing more weapons for Ukraine on the world market. After the Weimar Triangle meeting in Berlin, Sholz said he had agreed on this approach with French President Emmanuel Macron and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
In addition, the three countries agreed on a “new coalition of long-range rocket artillery assets” for the Ukrainian army. According to Sholz, a coalition for the procurement of rocket artillery will be formed within the Ramstein contact group.
Sholz also agreed with Macron and Tusk to expand the production of military equipment and work with partners in Ukraine.
