The Ministry of Defenсe of Ukraine wants to limit satellite imagery over Ukraine

The Russian Federation uses satellite data to launch strikes on Ukraine. It is necessary to counteract enemy space reconnaissance.

This was reported by Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Kateryna Chernohorenko.

Russia buys satellite images of Ukraine

“Russia is probably buying satellite imagery through third countries for attacks on Ukrainian territory,” she said.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than a hundred “coincidences” have already been recorded, when a satellite flew out to take pictures of a specific area, and a few days or weeks later Russia fired at that place. After this, the satellite was again sent to the site to record the scale of the shelling.

Such cases may indicate that Russia is buying satellite images of objects on the territory of Ukraine through intermediary companies.
