Humenyuk told about the night attack on southern Ukraine
Press secretary of the Defence Forces of southern Ukraine Natalya Humenyuk told the details of the Russian attack on the night of March 25.
This was stated by the press secretary of the Defence Forces of southern Ukraine Natalya Humenyuk on the telethon.
According to Humenyuk, the Russian attack was concentrated in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. Before the drone strike, the enemy fired a radar missile. So the Russians tried to neutralize the air defense capability.
“Before the drone strike, the enemy operated tactical aviation and fired a Kh-31P radar missile. It may have been destroyed in the air. The data is being checked,” Humenyuk said.
The press secretary also spoke about combat work in southern Ukraine.
“The combat work lasted an hour and a half. On the next drone visits from the Black Sea, the enemy concentrated on energy facilities. 4 drones were destroyed in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions,” Humenyuk said.
In the Mykolaiv region, the enemy hit an energy facility, a fire broke out, which was promptly extinguished by firefighters. No people were hurt. A residential building was also damaged by drone debris.
“The debris of a downed drone in a residential area of Mykolaiv damaged a two-story building, 11 people were injured, they were provided with medical assistance. 3 people, according to preliminary data, are in hospital,” Humenyuk said.
According to the press secretary, the enemy, looking for targets to destroy, sent drones among residential buildings, so the consequences of combat work could cause such damage.
