Chinese leader Xi Jinping, after negotiations with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, conveyed an important signal to the Russian authorities.

This was reported by the Russian Telegram channel “Kremlin Snuffbox”.

According to the resource, following the negotiations, Xi Jinping sent a letter to the Kremlin with a proposal to consider some options for ending the so-called “SVO” with the formation of a future armistice agreement with Ukraine.

The resource writes: “Among the points proposed by the Chinese leader were the cessation of hostilities along the current front line, the non-aligned status of Ukraine and the absence of territorial claims on the part of Russia at least until 2040 (the signing of security guarantees). According to the proposed formula, the Kremlin will have to resolve the issue with the presence in the Constitution of the Russian Federation of territories currently not controlled by the Russian army."

At the same time, the public admits that there is no information yet whether China has sent a draft of such an agreement to Ukraine. Sources in the Kremlin note that the Russian authorities considered Xi Jinping’s ideas to be quite good, but so far the Kremlin has not given an official response. The leaders of Russia and China are expected to have a telephone conversation on this issue next week.
