Situation at the front: the enemy launched 13 missile and 51 air strikes

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook , publishing operational information as of 18:00 on Wednesday, April 24.

During the day, Defence Forces aircraft carried out strikes on 11 areas where Russian Army personnel were concentrated. Also, Ukrainian air defense forces and means destroyed a Kh-59 guided aircraft missile and three enemy reconnaissance UAVs.

Units of the missile forces inflicted defeat on the area where Russian personnel were concentrated.

The enemy carried out 13 missile and 51 air strikes, carried out 16 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, civilians were injured, multi-storey and private buildings, as well as other infrastructure, were destroyed and damaged.

During the day, 84 military clashes were recorded at the front.

The situation in the Volyn and Polissya sectors remained unchanged. No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, and shells populated areas from the territory of Russia.

More than 20 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Khotiyivka and Leonivka in Chernihiv region; Popivka, Semeykine, Pokrovka in Sumy region; Vetarine, Kudiyivka, Hatyshche, Pletenivka in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled one attack near Berestove, Kharkiv region. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Sinkivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Pishchane in Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defence forces repelled 18 attacks in the areas of Serebryanske forestry, Nevske in Luhansk region; Terny and Torske in Donetsk region.

The enemy launched an air strike in the area of Serebryanske forestry in Luhansk region. Artillery and mortar shelling hit more than 10 localities, including Makiivka in the Luhansk region; Terny, Yampolivka, Torske in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 13 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Vyymka, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, Donetsk region.

The Russian army also carried out air strikes near Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, and Andriivka in Donetsk region. More than 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiyivka in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 attacks in the areas of Ocheretyne, Novokalynove, Berdychi and Netaylove in Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to force Ukrainian units out of their positions.

The Russians also carried out air strikes near Kalynove, Vovche, Oleksandropil, and Arkhangelske in Donetsk region. More than 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Keramik, Arkhangelske, Solovyove, and Umanske in Donetsk Oblast.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian defence forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka and Urozhayne in Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the Ukrainian troops’ defences 16 times.

The Russian army conducted an air strike in the area of Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region. More than 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Krasnohorivka, Maksymilianivka and Paraskoviivka in Donetsk region.

In the Orikhivsk sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian defenders’ positions near Staromayorske in Donetsk region once with the support of aviation. It also conducted an air strike near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhya region.

About 20 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Chervone, Bilohirya, Robotyne, and Kamyanske in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson sector, the Russians do not abandon their intention to push Ukrainian units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River.

Thus, during the day, the enemy made one unsuccessful attack on the positions of Ukrainian troops near the village of Krynky in Kherson region. It also carried out air strikes near the settlements of Beryslav, Olhivka and Krynky in the Kherson region.

About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Tyahynyka, Ivanivka, Novotyahynyka, Tokarivka in Kherson region.
