The occupiers repeatedly shelled the suburb of Kherson while the State Emergency Service rescuers were working there

On April 25, Russian occupation forces opened fire on Kherson several times. Rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine came under repeated shelling of a suburb of the regional center, one of them was injured, as well as a civilian woman.

The website of the State Emergency Service reports that on the afternoon of Thursday, April 25, the enemy struck the suburb, causing a residential building to catch fire. Firefighters responded to a call and found themselves trapped.

“Enemy drones cynically re-attacked the scene of the incident, damaging the equipment of the State Emergency Service. One of the rescuers was injured, and the owner of the neighboring house also received a hand injury,” the press service said.

State Emergency Service employees had to use an ambulance to leave the scene of the Russian attack.

“Despite the threat to their own lives, the rescuers warned their colleagues about the shelling so that they would not be in danger. Unlike the enemy, who mercilessly destroys everything in its path, our courageous titans take care of their brothers-in-arms,” the department emphasized.
