Yak-52 shot down an enemy drone "Orlan-10": video from the cockpit was shown
The use of a light-engine, two-seater aircraft could be effective against Russian reconnaissance drones, notes one of the Ukrainian military officers.
On April 27, Ukrainian military personnel on a Yak-52 aircraft shot down a Russian Orlan-10 reconnaissance drone in the air in the Odesa region. Now the network has shown what the interception looked like from the Yak-52 cockpit. The corresponding video was published by Ukrainian military officer and electronic warfare specialist Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov in his Telegram channel.
The Ukrainian military engaged the Soviet Yak-52 training aircraft to intercept the Orlan-10. The footage shows a noticeably shot down drone that was flying by parachute. They were filmed from the position of the first pilot. After the downing, the Defence Forces of southern Ukraine reported the interception of two drones: the Orlan-10 and the Zala UAV. Both products are reconnaissance drones.
