Russian occupiers in Donbas captured damaged Abrams
Despite numerous blows to the Abrams tank, it can be brought back into combat-ready condition in the shortest possible time. Military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko believes that the loss could have been avoided.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation captured a damaged American Abrams M1A1 tank in the village of Berdychi, Donetsk region. According to the military-political observer of the Information Resistance, Oleksandr Kovalenko, the occupiers simultaneously used two BREM-1 to evacuate the equipment.
He reported this on his Telegram.
“The evacuation (Abrams - ed.) was carried out simultaneously by two BREM-1, and it is the video that Russian propagandists are savoring with saliva hanging down, organizing joyful dances with tambourines,” said Oleksandr Kovalenko.
He emphasized that the tank was blown up by an anti-tank mine. In addition, more than ten FPV drones hit the vehicle, but only one of them hit the turret bustle, resulting in the detonation of the ammunition, but Abrams did not finish this off. The expert noted that even after this, the tank can be evacuated and brought into combat-ready condition in the shortest possible time.
Kovalenko noted that the equipment was tested by several means, in particular, the TM-62 mine, FPV drones, traces of the PG-7V are also visible, but without much visible results, the Abrams were also fired from a 125 mm tank.
“I would like to say separately that with the presence of a trawl and additional protection, especially on the bustle of the tower, this loss could have been avoided, but, alas and ah,” Kovalenko noted.
He added that in two months two Abrams tanks were destroyed and two more were damaged. But the invaders lost ten T-90M Proryv tanks destroyed and five damaged.
