An explosion occurred in a bank building in Chernihiv: a fire broke out

On the morning of May 6, an explosion was heard in the center of Chernihiv in the bank premises. A fire broke out, rescuers, bomb experts and police arrived at the scene, but there were no casualties.

This was reported to the police of the Chernihiv region.  According to law enforcement officers, the explosion was reported around 4 am.

As of 7 a.m., rescuers, police investigative teams, explosives experts, and the leadership of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Chernihiv region and Chernihiv regional police department are working on the site.

Information about the incident was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (deliberate destruction or damage to property by explosion).
