Zelenskyy named Russia’s plan in Kharkiv region and the task of the Armed Forces

The President emphasized that the main thing today is the issue of the front and countering Russian operations.

“Particular attention to the Kharkiv region. Defence battles continue, brutal battles continue on a significant part of our border strip. There are villages that, in fact, from the “gray zone” have become a zone of military operations, and the occupier is trying to gain a foothold in some of them, and some simply to use for further promotion," the head of state explained

According to the president, Ukraine’s task is still obvious - it is necessary to inflict the greatest losses on the occupier.

“In particular, in the vicinity of the city of Volchanskaya, the situation is extremely difficult - the city is under constant Russian fire, and counterattack actions of our military continue, in the city they are helping local residents,” the president noted.

He emphasized that it is very important that maximum efficiency is shown now by everyone - everyone who is there, in the Kharkiv region.

"In the military forces, in the security forces, in local authorities, in communities. In war, everything always depends on what you yourself are capable of, what you yourself are capable of doing - whether you can withstand blows and hold positions so that everyone else can do the same The main thing is our stability and the Ukrainian result in battles,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

The situation in other directions

Zelenskyy stressed that constant attention is also paid to other areas of military operations. According to him, Donetsk directions are now no less focused.

“Actually, the intention of the strikes on the Kharkiv region is to stretch our forces and raise the moral, motivational basis of the ability of Ukrainians to defend themselves,” he said.

According to the president, the Pokrovsk direction, no matter what, is the toughest. During this 24-hour period alone, there were already 30 military clashes in the Pokrovsk direction.

"The Lyman and Vremivsk directions, Kramatorsk and Kupyansk directions are also tough. Our soldiers are responding to the occupier with dignity and are doing everything possible, often impossible, to restrain Russian assaults and respond - to respond to the occupier with fire," the Head of State stressed.

Zelenskyy noted that information operations are no less important for Russians.

"This is always the energy for Russian ground operations. The occupier feeds on lies and the fear that follows the lies. Defensive battles are never easy. And they always become more difficult when the enemy manages to use fear," he explained.

In this regard, according to Zelenskyy, it is now safer not to be led by emotions, not to chase the headline, to check every news report and look for information, not emotions or rumours, and to trust the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
